Movie Review: Miracle Letters to the President

After 1 hour and 22 minutes of watching this film, I can't stop getting teary-eyed especially the part when the father stopped at the station where the lead, Jeong Min Park as Jun Kyung started building together with their neighbors.

This movie can slowly pull our heartstrings. The slow momentum of building the story to the climax with an unexpected back story and nicely selected music made me root for the lead as well.

I also like the funny moments such as:

  • Im Yoon-ah (Yoona) as Ra Hee is a funny teenager who is Jun Kyung's love interest and helped him study by doing random antics as well.
  • The father hugging the guard so that Jun Kyung can enter the examination site since they arrived late.

Seeing that the train stopped to their new station, Jun Kyung passing the exam and later having to say goodbye to his sister are the nice bittersweet ways to end this movie. And of course, the nostalgic airport scene with Ra Hee.

I highly recommend that you watch this movie.
