Stereotyping, Social class and Classicism

"A stereotype is used to categorize a group of people. People don't understand that type of person, so they put them into classifications, thinking that everyone who is that needs to be like that, or anyone who acts like their classifications is one". This is the definition from Urban Dictionary.

Most of us may have suffered from this or probably encountered this or practiced this. Same with social class, classicism and rank-based treatment. They all have similarities, ups and downs. I happen to encounter them a lot.

My point is, being exposed to the downside of these ideas can have a negative impact on people like depression, low self-esteem, loneliness, etc. Some can lead to more serious effects. However, people with better EQ, can do something about it and push themselves to be better. But how about those with lower EQ? What have we done to help them? Or are we the one who made them feel less?

In my own book of life, there may be people higher than me but there is no one lower than I am. We are equal.

How about you?
