How to Import Your Facebook Friends to Google+

Google+ is a new social networking site with the revolutionary abilities to create circles of friends, hang outvia group video chat with your circles, find online articles based on your interests, and more. Google has made it easy to connect with your Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail contacts, but it has interestingly left off Facebook[1], where many people have spent the most time consolidating their friends. Read this article to find out how to import your Facebook friends to Google+.



  1. Create a new Yahoo Mail account. You can do this at: http://mail.yahoo.com. Or, log into your existing account. Or, if you don't have a Yahoo Mail account, click the "Create New Account" button to make one.
  2. Click on the "Contacts" tab, and then on "Import Contacts." Click on the "Contacts" tab, and then on "Import Contacts.
  3. Select Facebook.
  4. Enter your Facebook account information to log in, and then select "Okay" to allow Yahoo to see your Facebook information. You can always remove this accesslater.
  5. Wait for Yahoo to find and import all of your Facebook contacts. Then select "Done.
  6. Log in to Gmail. Go to the Google+ toolbar near the top of your webpage browser and click on your name. In the box that pops up, click "Circles."
  7. This will open your Circles page in a new window. Locate the "Find Friends" section above all of your suggested contacts, and select "Yahoo."
  8. Press "Agree" to share your Yahoo contacts with Google+. Wait for the import to sync.
  9. All of your contacts will appear in the "Find and Invite" section of your Google+suggested friends. Now you can organize them with Google+!
